Council Information Sessions

As part of the upcoming CAUT Council meeting, we will be holding three information sessions on the following topics: defending collegial governance, lessons from bargaining remotely, and francophone associations fight back. All three sessions will have simultaneous interpretation provided.

  1. Defending Collegial Governance
    1-1:45pm (EST)
Across the country, several administrations have used COVID-19 as an opportunity to bypass collegial processes and assume final authority for academic decisions. Join a discussion with representatives of academic staff associations who have pushed back against these threats and organized to defend and strengthen collegial governance.
    This event is now closed.
For questions regarding this session, please do not hesitate to contact Justine De Jaegher, Education Officer, at (613) 820-2270 ext. 181.

  2. Lessons from Bargaining Remotely
    2-2:45pm (EST)
Hear from representatives from associations who have conducted bargaining during the COVID-19 pandemic. Speakers will share strategies for communicating effectively with members and as a bargaining team in a time of remote bargaining.
    This event is now closed.
For questions regarding this session, please do not hesitate to contact Justine De Jaegher, Education Officer, at (613) 820-2270 ext. 181.

  3. Francophone Associations Fight Back
